Beginning in the 1970s with a handful of memebers, the American Bladesmith Society(ABS) was created as an non-profit organization to preserve the art of the forged blade. Since then, the ABS has steadily grown and become the international gold standard of smithing knowledge.
Tharwa Valley Forge is proud to be one of two schools outside of the US to be accredited with the ABS. Our courses are run by two certified Master Bladesmiths, and present a unique opportunity to seriously learn the art of knifemaking.
